I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.

Excellent shot Jonathan!
Overall, I think it's a neat shot, but I can't help but feel something is missing. You have some nice leading lines, but they don't really lead to anything. I think if there was something they were leading to, it could be a little stronger. Still a nice shot, though. very well exposed!
I agree overall with Jordan. The image is wonderfully exposed and has interesting lines.
I'm guessing your intent was to create a marriage between the static platform and moving trains. If so i feel the shutter was open too long and the trains are not discernible, appearing more like part of the static structure.
I'd love to see this image with varying shutter speeds so we can see what produces the best balance between the elements.
Great attempt though - I'd be proud to have taken that shot!
