This is the concept for a picture I'd like to submit to a local photography contest whose subject is "Geometries", and I'd like to hear your opinion about it. Not sure about the B&W,... not sure whether it would be better to shoot it at night,... not sure whether there is enough going on in the frame.
Subject is a piece of a penstock, formerly used to lead the water to a hydroelectric power station. In the background a moving train. These elements are bound by the concepts of "movement" and "energy". While the penstock is currently still, it allowed to move water in order to create electric energy. The train, on the other hand, is currently moving and is consuming energy.
P.S.
Physicists will forgive me for improperly writing "producing" and "consuming" energy. I know, energy just gets transformed.
P.P.S.
This train is actually one of the very few in my region fueled by oil, instead of electricity. I guess this is the only shot where I wish I'd have a powerline in foreground.
