I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.
The Sun and the Moon: Edited to add last photo
I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.

Good for ur first go...
in the first one, I would point the camera up a little bit to get more of the city light.
also, I think the selective colour doesn't really fit for this.
The crop I personally don't like. I think the default crop would be better...
these were my thoughts.. but I hope they help.

I don't think I would use selective... I would just have everything colour.
