Red Sky in Morning

I decided to get up early for sunrise during a recent trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. There were supposed to be storms later in the day so I was hoping for an interesting sky in the morning. The colors did not last long during sunrise, but they lasted long enough for me to take a long exposure to get the clouds streaking across the sky. This was taken at the beach behind the Sanderlingresort in Duck North Carolina.

Nice photo.
How did the old saying go: “Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning; Red sky at night, sailor's delight."

Thank you! Yes, exactly. And it was definitely a warning kind of day.
