We were hiking in the rainforest of Southeast Alaska. Eagles were EVERYWHERE, though at a long distance, along this creek looking for salmon.
This little bird is a hybrid of a Peregrine Falcon, the fastest bird and the fastest animal in all of creation, and a Gyrfalcon.
I took this shot at The Raptor Foundation where do much work in rescuing all types of Raptors. Many are returned to the wild though many are not native to Britain, they cannot be released.
It was a grey day out in Seabeck, WA. Everyday during low tide, the eagle come out to get the fish. This eagle had just caught a fish, and landed, as he landed, he his wings went straight up.

I like the basic composition, framing, colors! The water looks calm with colorful sky. Just the dead tree at the bottom tries to catch my awareness.
