I originally intended to capture this scene with the sun rising at the background. Apparently, when I was framing my shot I got engrossed with how beautiful the scene before me was. I then realized, ever since I got interested in photography, I solely focus on what I see on my viewfinder or on my camera's LCD screen while completely ignoring the scene right in front of me. It was always, get the right angle or check if my horizon was straight or check if my composition is right.
I think it's not yet too late for me to strike a balance between perfecting my shot while having a total appreciation of the scene I'm presented with. As a photographer who's always trying to play catch with the perfect light (sunrise and sunset), getting this perspective in balance sometimes would mean putting down your camera and just immerse yourself with the beauty that's right in front of you. We only have one lifetime, it would be a waste if we don't appreciate the things around us that's truly deserving of our attention.
