I might disagree. It's a bottle so it's not going to react linearly, the refractive properties won't necessarily let the light go straight. Funny this comes up, because I was just experimenting with candlelight and bottles/glasses last night. I'm not saying I'm 100% right, but you should do experiments with the actual bottle. Shape differences will change the direction and scatter.
