First Extreme Shoe Retouch

This is my first attempt at a retouch of this magnitude. is there anything that stands out to you? what would you change? how would you go about doing a retouch like this? I mostly used Frequency separation to clean up the dirt and scratches.

I think you did a great job. There are a couple of things about it that make it clear that it's been retouched, but it's SO much better than the original that I'm not sure that it matters. The only thing I would change is maybe having a cleaner object to begin with :)

Thanks so much!! :)

You did a really great job on this.

Thank you so much! really appreciate it

Congrats, you got brand new shoes :-)

That's a pretty remarkable retouch.

A great job. One thing that I would change is the bow. If you were to use this as a product photograph you would want the bow to be a little more even across the show and have one of the laces on the side of the shoe to show balance. For what you started with thought, it shows real talent on your part.

I agree. When I looked at it the only thing I would have changed was the bow. But that’s a “posing” issue. Not a retouching issue. Excellent job

Very well done!

You did a great job on this. A detailed and well executed retouch. Awesome!

Wow! That's pretty fantastic!

I can do the same by taking photo of clean shoes and then make it dirty and take another shot :) no software required.
just kidding. great job.
