Frequency separation and crop.

I like subtle changes although the overall image looks totally different at the end of the process. I want to achieve a style in which the untrained eye doesn't perceive the post production in my images. This one has some liquify filter and had to crop it to remove the awkward pose (totally my fault), but posing aside, her face looks totally amazing for someone who hates being in front of a camera. Her name is Jimena and I think she did it well at the end.

I don't typically use FS on faces (but it can be magic on backgrounds, clothing, and occasionally legs and arms). In this case I'd say you did a pretty good job, but it looks just slightly too perfect. Maybe drop the opacity of your FS group to about 80% and see how that looks. For what it's worth I would never liquify someone's face to look slimmer unless very specifically asked to do so (and possibly not even then).... her face was gorgeous before and didn't really need it, in my opinion. You did a nice job with the lighting and she's a lovely girl. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your input, I agree, she looks amazing considering the uncomfortable she got when the camera was in front of her. I agree with you, each one's beauty has to be brought with our direction as photographers to our models and building rapor with them. This liquify was specifically asked for. I'll try with 80% you suggest (it's actually at 85% now). Have a great week)
