I've had the idea of a car spitting flames out the exhaust speeding down a car park or a tunnel for quite a while now, and I finally managed to make the shot exactly how I visualised it in my mind. The photo is composited from many shots. The base image which was the car park and the view outside which is a different image have been edited in VirtualRig to get the moving effect, the car was static at all times. The flames were done using a spray can of deodorant and a lighter, but to make them seem like the car was spitting them I fired them just as they would come out of the exhaust + to get the reflection on the bumper and the orange glow. I know the car could've been a bit more clean...

The flames are a really cool touch. I think this image may look top notch if the background isn't so desaturated. Good work though!

Yup, that's the one. Pepper Yandell's photo for Gas Monkey garage. The R32 was physically on location, I didn't have to go through all the trouble of getting both shots right, I just moved the car out of the way when I needed to shoot the background without moving the camera.
