I may have a chance to attend to the upcoming SpaceEx launch, schedule and logistics permitting. Any recommendations for taking photos of a rocket launch; it will be at night. I was planning on renting a lens. I have a Nikon D750 and 7100. I'm guessing a tripod is a must? Settings? How to deal with the light from liftoff?
Thanks for any help.
I've never done this sort of thing but I imagine treating it as a long exposure astrophotography shot - fast wide angle prime lens like the Sigma 20mm Art - with one of your cameras would look excellent with the ship light painting the sky on its way up... Sounds like an awesome opportunity, good luck and cant wait to see the shots :-D
Thanks, I thought I'd need a super zoom, but I have no idea how close or far away I'd be.
