B I T A - Sigma 35mm

After 5 years using 85mm lens, I recently bought Sigma 35mm f/1.4
It takes time to adjust with the new field of view and compositions on wider frames than tight medium-tele 85mm, but I think this lens gives me more space and a lot more details in the background or general atmosphere to shoot a character and to tell a story.

The fast focusing & sharpness of this lens is amazing, which I recommend it to any portrait, lifestyle and fashion photographer. the only disadvantage is when the aperture is wide open on f/1.4 there is some vignette which can be easily ignored and fixed in post.

Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark III
Lens: Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG Art
Light: Natural, Sunset

Love the shot. I wish she was very slightly more exposed. But either way amazing shot.

Thanks man, I almost feel the same.
However, When I shot this I actually tried to underexpose in order to achieve a higher dynamic range in post-process when I brightness the shadows while having much more details in the sky. there is a disadvantage to this technique which is the noise that appears in the shadow areas. On the other hand, I thought maybe if I keep it a little underexposed I would still maintain the sunset feel.

That's fair. Beautiful lady and beautiful shot. One day I'll get there.
