I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

Cool, i like the lighting, very moody
It's moody for sure, but I'd still like to see at least some parts of his face.
@ Jeena, I think the face not being visible is the key to the portrait. It is the instrument, not the person that is the subject of the portrait. If both were visible, the subject would be questionable.
But then I'd like it to see more from the side, without the hat which is teasing a person there.
I agree I love the drama in this photo but I think the hat is very distracting.
