Portrait with gel

I am a wildlife and landscape photographer, expanding and learning portrait photography.

Experimenting with color gels and contrasting colors. Out of the 2 images which is better?

The difference is just the head angle and framing, flash output remained the same for both shots.

I put the hood on to reduce distractions and light bleeds.

I like the 2nd one better, even though it has a "night stalker" vib to it.
