I was little upset when it started to rain and in the end I was thankful it did. I under expose the scene by about 1.5 stop to bring out the dark sky. The triathlete was lite with a single Broncolor 800 siros strobe.
This is a photo I've been wanting to do for a couple of years now but never have. Did you use a bare bulb on the flash or was there some sort of modifier? The lighting looks a little harsh with strong shadows from the water on the athlete. Not saying this is wrong, just wondering.
Nicely done, the sky adds to the grit. I call it Athlete in spotlight.
Wondering if a slight warm tone of light on the athlete would make it more natural.
thanks. maybe I will try your advice over this weekend. cheers.
