Lately I'e been shooting local Toronto Drag Queens: This shot of Silencia is one of my favorites. We shot for awhile with a couple of different outfits but this was definitely a stand-out.
I lit this with a Cactus RF60X gelled blue camera left, firing into a 165CM reflective umbrella, as well as a Cactus RF60 firing from camera right through a sheet of cinefoil with strips cut into it.
Fantastic mood and loghting. For me the only thing distracting is how bright the strips of light are. Keep up the great work.
As in too bright? Or not bright enough? I wanted them to really POP to make the image super graphic.
To me too bright, the brightest strips hit the cheek. If the eyes were the most bright I think I would have liked it more. Again, great work and concept, just for me the bright light on the cheek was distracting.
