Hi Tanner! I'm not a pro but I'll share the tiny bit I've learned so far... when your subject is looking at you, its the eyes you focus on and the closest one to the camera if she's angled. You've got some good photos here, I'm wondering if a background with less contrast would help in emphasizing your subject maybe try one of these in black and white see how it looks. I'll add my $0.02. I really love images 4 through 6!!! What makes 4 and 6 really work are the decreased depth of field. In image 5, there's less of this. Image 5 would be much better, in my opinion, if you decreased DoF. I'm guessing you used a larger aperture on 4 and 6.
