Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.
Austin, Texas Blue Hour
Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.
Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Excellent capture the light is balanced on her well .
Well done. Does she have blue in her hair? This pose works with a shirt like that. Many other shirts have the viewer looking right down the young woman's shirt. Now, granted that might be what the photographer is going for, but on a portrait we want the focus on the face. As a photographer who takes portraits of seniors (high school aged kids 16 through 18 years old). I hate this pose when the viewer gets an eyeful of cleavage. So this makes for an amazing portrait. Great job!
Thank you. Yes, she has some blue and light purple highlights in her hair that actually look pretty cool. I'm with you on the clothing aspect of photography. Way too many photographers out there concentrate on the cleavage. When I shoot I put emphasis on the face and eyes. Body is secondary and I make sure my models are aware of this, especially girls in that age group.
