Make a Wish
My daughter turned 14 this weekend (OMG, I'm feeling old), so of course we celebrated with cake and candles. This seemed like a good time to practice aiming my camera at a person instead of trees, mountains, rivers, etc.
I've only done "people pictures" maybe 3 times with a real camera -- the last time was a family member's high school graduation and, just like I warned them, the photos were a dark and blurry disaster. Needless to say, I've been a bit nervous about shooting people since then. This time, though, I feel like I've done pretty well. What do you think? What could be better about this photo? Any CC to help me improve in this area is greatly appreciated!

Try it in B&W Mark. The mix of the blue from the shades and the red from the candles are distracting, but I bet turning it to grey scale will make for a really interesting image.
