Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.
Austin, Texas Blue Hour
Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.
Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Hi Anurag,
Thank you for sharing. Your picture doesn't tell a story, is it a portrait or you wanted us to see an hivernal condition?
If it's a portrait it would been better to see her without the snow. If you wanted to include the snow it would been more suitable to show more of the scene. As it is the dark areas out of focus in the image on the left and coming out of her head is distracting.
I hope this helps,
Marc
Hi Anurag,
I agree with Marc,
If the lady had filled less of the shot, and the snow was more visible there would be a better tie with the weather.
If the intention was the portrait of the lady, maybe try to avoid the distraction in the background. I know it is not easy to compile the shot.
Keep shooting!!
I agree with Marc and Dirk, but also, her wristwatch is really distracting to me for some reason.
I thought the exact same thing when I first saw this picture.
And that rogue snowflake. I The snowflake can be edited out.
Thank you so much for your valuable feedbacks... I will definitely learn from this and try to do better
