I think it's a great concept, and the glasses match the overall tone and flare color well. However because of the way the flare curves down I don't think it's contributing with its current placement. Flare is very subjective in how people receive it, so I tend to be very critical with my own photos when I'm using flare deliberately. Many I like, but not quite enough to post.
