Outdoor photography can sometimes be frustrating with the sun and clouds changing rapidly. One day I took a model out and we just walked around a park and used the landscape to capture what we could. I used to only use natural light with a reflector, but this day I took along a portable flash setup using a speed light, 24" softbox, and the surrounding props as they came up on our walk. We came upon this bush with violet flowers and large green leaves. I had my model, Lexi, back into the bush, then pull the flowers down around her head. The results were remarkable, considering how much duller the shot would have been without flash.
I was wondering if others feel the same way about using flash outdoors for this type of work?
