Last couple of times, I was made aware of the fact that the skin in my models has a green tone. I am colorblind so I can´t tell. However, I tried to "fix" that. Please let me know if you see a green cast or something. Any other comments are also welcome.
Her skin tone looks very natural to me, Cristian. To my eye, it is a good portrait, with that thoughtful pose, although I'm no portraitist myself, just someone interested in the visual arts, especially photography, and beauty. Speaking of which... what kissable lips, on your gorgeous model! Your portfolio makes me want to move to Uruguay! As a more general comment, the ambiguous highlights at left (a hair accessory?), and probably a shoulder strap on the right are needlessly distracting.
I notice recently on Fstoppers another colour-blind photographer's struggle with colour rendition.
I use ACDSee (reputedly an imitation of PS),which I wouldn't particularly recommend, but when it is set to adjust white balance, it gives a reading of the colours at any selected point (see screenshot). I presume most editors have this feature.
I imagine that with a relatively limited colour range like human skin, you could find, or work out with the help of others, what range of proportions of RGB are acceptable, for, say, northern European, "moreno" and other skin types. Has no one done this to your knowledge in an existing program? There are plenty of you poor guys out there! I know a few myself - none photographers, though.
Chris! Thank you very much for your deep feedback, for taking the time to work with my picture and thanks for the praise as well.
Uruguay is often overlooked (some people don´t even know it exists lol) but on average, most girls are pretty. It is a good place for portraits.
I have not tried the ACD See.I do not have it, but I will search if PS has a similar tool.
Being colorblind, I think I choose the wrong hobby lol. Just kidding, I love photography. I just have to keep working on those things until I save the money for the Enchroma Glasses (someone on Fstoppers suggested those glasses).
Crfistian, this web page:
https://geekdad.com/2015/12/enchroma-color-blind/
refers to "Photoshop’s white balance eyedropper", which sounds just like ACDSee's feature. You still need some reference, or calibration to use this.
