Hi Evelyn,
It's a really nice photo about your model.
I should have let a little more place at the bottom of the image, because of the end of hair. Maybe I would have remove the hair from her face.
I like the mood of your photo. Probably you were in a forest or in a park.
I love the overall mood and motion of the image. the contrast and details are great.
however, I would have took it in high speed continuous shooting mode and maybe pick another image where both or at least one eye is not blocked by hairs as in this case both eyes are gone because one single wild hair stray. other than that, its a great shot, well done.
yeah, i posted this, went to sleep, woke up, and now trying to clone stamp out the hair bc i didn't think it would bother me as much last night but after reading with what everyone is saying i agree it's the hair
great, now even though its exactly the same image, it feels much different and more welcoming when you see the depth in the eyes...
based on personaly experience, I usually never post or print images right away after retouching. because when we spend a lot of time on an image, our eyes start to adopt to the flaws or even the colors and luminosity. so what I do is that I save the image in a folder away from my eye sight, then after one or two days I return to that folder and star checking if I missed anything or if I did anything more than necessary. that helps to rethink my retouching process before finishing the project and post or print it.
Hi Evelyn, the hair on the eyes stops me from connecting with her. Otherwise, the tones are good, like the b&w and the dof makes you go to her immediately
