Hey guys, I am new to creating studio lit portraits and I would like some tips to help me create the best image I can with the gear I have. I know my first mistake was to shoot at f2.8 but any critique would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
I think so. I had to use a video LED light panel with a sheet of paper over it. I shot this through a doorway without a speed light trigger. so I had to be in a position that would allow my second speedlight to see the flash and fire.
I don't think there's anything "wrong" with shooting at f2.8. Good expression and decent shot overall. The rim light is a stop or two brighter than your key, so I'd knock that down, but good work.
TOUGH
Indeed.
Nice separation of white on white. Is the highlight on his head too hot?
