Hi! I'm looking for some tips. Hope you guys can help!
Two years after purchasing my first entry level camera and having tried a few cheap lenses I want to upgrade to something that better suits what I need.
I shoot mostly portraits and 80% of the time at 50mm. So I'm looking at the best combo camera + prime lens you can buy with let's say no more than 1,500$.
I'm thinking a mirrorless (eye tracking!) like the X-T3 + 35mm f/1.4, but I also enjoy shooting with manual focus lenses, so I'm open to vintage options too!
What would you suggest?
At that price point, the first thing that comes to mind is an aps-c mirrorless. This is about all I can offer.
I looked at your Instagram, and the other linked to it, and you appear to be doing great with your current gear. What are you using now?
Thanks mate!
Nikon d3400 with 18-55 kit zoom lens for my street photography (I also have the 70-300 but I soon realised I don't like long focal length). For portrait I have a prime 35mm f1.8 (the one I use the most but the autofocus is so much slower than the kit lens!) and a 60mm f2.8 (I absolutely love it, but I cannot do the metering with the d3400, so I use it only when I shoot portraits indoor with flash and I know the settings are going to be constant throughout the shoot)
