Keeping with the whole less is more approach.
I love one light set ups; especially for models like Fang Fei who is constantly moving. She never poses. Instead, she is always drifting and moving; like a slow motion dance. As a photographer you either catch the moments or you don't. This is my favorite way to work. When working with models for the first time I spend a considerable amount of time getting them to NOT pose.
Most models have several poses that they simply cycle through between flash pops: pose > hold > pop > change pose > hold > pop, etc. This is fine, but it typically results in photos that are similar to everything they've done before.
Shot with an AD 600 Pro in a 60 inch octa boomed over the model and aimed nearly straight down; angled just a bit towards her. It was feathered in front of her about 18 inches.
good, but seems like cut from background a bit. I prefer edges beneath hands to be blurred in Gaussian filter.
