First shoot from a series of shoots I'm doing as an homage to the old Hollywood glamour style of the 1930s and 1940s. I was lucky enough to be able to work with an excellent makeup artist and an excellent hair stylist.
Of course, the model was just stellar.
Lighting: One strobe with a standard reflector directly in front of the model, angled steeply. One strobe with a gridded beauty dish boomed directly over the model, aimed straight down as a hair light. One strobe a few feet directly behind me and to the side a bit with a magnum reflector for fill. One strobe camera right aimed at the background, using a step ladder as a gobo.
