Recently I was contacted by a young lady who wanted me to shoot her very recent graduation from Weber state. I...hesitated. First, I photograph nature's landscape, not the human landscape. I've done a couple of odd weddings here and there but there are better. Most people think "Oh, he is good with a camera so no problem, he can do this!" Wrong. I respect the different genres in photography, People get very good at what they specialize in with photography (anything for that matter). Had I still lived in Germany I would DEFINITELY had passed her on to the "portrait experts" but I 'm Utah and don't know any. So I took it on and I'm happy I did. An opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone and interact with my subject doesn't come all every day...her smile.
Good job, Mark. It never hurts to shoot different landscapes.
Cheers! Something different to get the creative juices flowing and it didn't hurt she was a natural
I have always benefited from the talent of the models I have worked with.
