I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

I really enjoy creating something different with drones. I've had the Mavic now for about four weeks and I absolutely love it.

Hi Gerry, none of the details given can be seen on the picture. I think it's cropped too tight. I would need some more context of what's going on around her. To be able to see that she is really small on a big horse I need to see the horse as a reference. For portrait of a girl you should have taken the picture from the other side of the horse. Should have shown more of her face looking into the distance.
Thank you for the input. You are right with your suggestions, however I had only seconds as she moved on a few moments after this shot. The photo added in this reply was taken the day before riding along side her farther
This one is way better. Would only keep the first picture for sentimental reasons. Dump it otherwise.
Dump it?
Initially, I did not get the point why the original picture is of any interest. So, i personally would have deleted it. As Chris stated, there is something you can read and interpret in the picture. Now I wouldn't suggest to delete it anymore.
I love your portrait as presented, Gerry. I understand Wolfgang's point, but I think your tight image perfectly captures something of the individual, without spelling it all out literally. I think it's a much more memorable than the father-&-daughter shot, which is like a perfectly fine record shot. The first image is obviously of a child, while her pensive pose speaks volumes, and for me the composition is spot-on. Definitely portfolio material in my personal view. The ambiguity, not being able to see her face, invites curiosity and speculation whereas the second image is just too obvious and literal to make a memorable image - for me.
