Poster for a dance company's new piece, Lear. We wanted some cold, dark, rainy look with a heavy, broken expression.
Shot in my living room, with 3 lights. One flash with a blue gel was pointed to the ceiling, to give the background a blue tint. The key light came from the camera right with a 90cm softbox with grid. The third light also with a gel gave the green fill on camera left. I choose the font called "plain crash" and added some blood splashes for more dramatic effect.
Recently, I taught an Off Camera Flash class. Paige was my model for the class. We were outdoors but it started to rain. Luckily, a nearby restaurant let us conduct the class in their dining room.
