On my last shooting I used again tethered with Lightroom and it was very very slow. You know there is some buffers on cameras. I mean you have like 15 or 16 shooting to wait to write on card. It was very hard to work because I am really fast to press button. So it was always written on camera's screen that was busy. I needed to wait like around 1 minute to 2 minutes all pictures (I mean 16 pictures) tethered to my computer. Is it because of my laptop's power?or camera? I know usb2 is slower than usb3. But I use canon 60D and it has not usb3, my laptop neither. My laptop has 4gb ram.
So how can you arrange it?especially shooting for clients?I am glad it was a test shoot
Were you exiting lightroom to other programs at all? i was having the same problem
How did you solve it?
I was having this problem bouncing from program to program, Once i cut that habit i saw an increase of productivity and things ran a little smoother
But I believe that clients or team eager to see whats going on point of view of photographers
Use Capture One software for tethered shooting... you will never use Lightroom again.
