Natural Light Couple Portrait

Hey there I would like some feedback on these images and see what I could do to make these images better. Help me up my game! Thanks!

The first one is really nice. If it were me I would crop out most of the background and just below the woman's elbow. But if you want the background, because it is beautiful as well, just leave it. On the second one I think it's mainly the hand placement. I would love to see him connected to her more in some way with his hands. If she needed to lean on something, I'd rather have her right hand on the tree limb closest to her body so it doesn't look like she's reaching far out. The background is a little bright, but I'll leave that to other professionals who can offer better advice on that.

Thanks for the CC! I edited one of the photos from the set with a similar crop to how you described. I just wanted to give them a variety of crops so they could use them differently.

You're absolutely right about his body language. It was 8 am and the first below freezing temperatures of the season so he was pretty stiff haha.

At least you got out there in the cold and did it. Ugh, I dread that but on the other hand, you'll get really nice photos. I really like the new photo you posted. Maybe try and get rid of the rainbow glare on his pants because that's where my eye goes. And on a minor detail, I think if a man hans just his thumb in his pockets it looks better...but either way this is really nice. On the first one I still would crop out all the white on the right hand side...but again, that's what "I" would do and everyone has their own preference. :-)
