I'm ready to step up from my 70D to either the 6D or Mark iii I need some input. I primarily do portraits, weddings and some random landscapes. Very little video if ever. With the cost difference do you think I will regret buying the 6D over the Mark iii ? I'm thinking for the price difference I could buy a nice lens or pocket wizards. Or should I suck it up and go with the Mark? If it's already been asked refer me to the post please
I've got the 6D, with no regrets. And yes, I would take a body and lens over just a body.
I've got both!! and if you don't mind the wifi (the only reason I bought a 6D and not a second 5Dmk3) the 5Dmk3 wins..I prefer shooting with the 5D more than the 6D..It's better camera overall period!!
The bodyonly vs body+lens battle though....I think the second wins by far..Lens will always be THE best investment..this applies for lighting gear as well...
Conclusion:
I use both almost every day that's why I can complain about the 6D being worse.
If you buy one of them and never actually use the other one ever again you won't have something to compare to every other day..
Don't get me wrong 6D is a great camera, especially for its price,the only problem......it's not a 5Dmk3 and I can feel that every day in my hands..It's a superior camera top to bottom..buuuuut if I were you I would choose the 6D+Lens or whatever...
