I really like your composition - the way the gator is placed in the frame. The upward angle of the 'gator's snout provides a nice dynamic that is interesting.
The background is nicely blurred, so that nothing there distracts from your subject.
The only thing that is a little bothersome is the glare off of the 'gator. In places, instead of seeing rich detail, we see light reflecting back at us, which washes out the color and obscures any detail that may have otherwise been seen. I suppose there are two ways this could be avoided, or mitigated - either shoot when the sun is much lower on the sky and the light is softer, or else try using a polarizer when shooting reptiles and amphibians.
