Monarch Butterfly Chrysalis - thoughts?

Hey friends.

I've started raising Monarch Butterflies this year and they've given me so many macro opportunities. This is one of my favorites this year so far.

Sometimes a Monarch Caterpillar will choose to stay on their food source and create their Chrysalis there. This is perfect for me as I love to photograph them in a natural looking environment. Monarch Caterpillars stay green for 10-14 days, and on the last day become very transparent, letting you know it's almost time for emergence! This was taken about an hour before emerging.

Setup
•Canon 5DSR with Canon 100L IS
• Einstein Flash with Umbrella front right
• Einstein Flash with dish back left for little backlight
• Small reflector front left for fill
• 2 - $5 green plants from Walmart for natural background look

Settings
• F3.5 (10 Shots stacked in Zerene Stacker)
• ISO 160
• 1/160
• Edited slightly in PS CC

Thanks for looking!

such good detail, also love the light in the top right corner!

Nice photo. When they hatch they come out quick. They are faster than me anyway. I'll be watching to see if you get "the" photo. LOL
