I had to rescue a bird off my feeder during an ice storm one winter. The freezing rain froze her onto the perch. She was so calm as I warmed her foot with my hand enough to free her safely. She sat in my hand for a few seconds. No fear in her eyes. I will never forget that moment in time. :)
