I have no idea what a "lanai" is. Never seen the term used before ever in my life. But I do like your photo, and the way it showcases the bird's topside plumage. What species is it?
Technically a lanai is a covered porch in Hawaii but also loosely used to describe a veranda or deck.
I searched online and good chance it is a male House Finch.
