A lost elephant seal swimming in the mangrove of Isla Isabela, in the Galápagos archipelago.
The elephant seals are hardly ever encountered in this region, however this specimen was apparently resting there for the past four days when I saw her. She was sleeping in the shade until she decided to go for a swim. Luckily for me, this was all near a small lagoon where we were able to go in the water, so I ended up following her at a safe distance and got this shot while she was playing and swimming back and forth.
