Calm before the storm

Took this shot in Amboseli National Park at the end of February. Two grown and one Three month old on the move from the storm. Personally like this shot, any thoughts?

I love the image, but it almost looks "too good to be true".

Is this really a single frame? Or did you composite the image by combining multiple frames?

I ask because the sky and the placement of the storm clouds is absolutely perfect - seems so unlikely that you would really have been able to get the elephants arranged in exactly that perfect spot under the clouds as they were on the move.

Also, the foreground vegetation is so perfect, with no distractions. Is the foreground really just as it was shot? Or did you photoshop it at all to remove distractions or irregularities in the grasses?

All of the info you can give me about how this image was made would be very helpful.

Thanks!

The clouds were added in post but the foreground and elephants are as shot in camera. Thank you for your feedback Tom!

Absolutely stunning digital art. Let me start by saying that I love the image but IMHO and having read the comments, I find myself somewhat conflicted to learn afterwards that the image is a composite.
Let me re-iterate, I love the image but this leads to a broader discussion about sky replacement and the fine line between digital art and pure photography... Personally, I would have liked to know beforehand so that I can fully appreciate the image for what it is.
Very well done.
Congrats and regards,
Mike
