Marsh Wren singing in the marsh

I took this photo of a happy Marsh Wren at a pond about 150 miles south of me.

It is easy to find Marsh Wrens because they are seemingly always singing! The challenge lies not in locating one, but in finding one that comes out of the deep vegetation for a moment, allowing a clear shot.

I was very thankful that this joyful little guy came out into the open for a minute - he made the 6 hour round trip very worthwhile!

Yep its a very clear shot with a beautiful background. I love it!

Thank you, Jamie! I do love blue sky backgrounds!

Me too. Again, this is gorgeous.

Amazing shot, and what a beast of a lens :)

Thanks, Daniel!

Yes, that "Sigmonster" is a beast ..... 13 pounds! Hard to get around with, but so sharp and versatile that it's worth the effort.

Great shot, love the pose! Very well done!

Thank you, Troy!

Lovely moment :)
