Got to head out with a friend and photograph this guy a couple months back. Living on the island all my life I wasn't exactly prepared to understand how much larger they are than our local black bears until I saw it. This guy was ENORMOUS!

I love to watch bears, what a great shot! Claws showing on that front paw make the shot.
Thank you! It was my first time seeing one in person and I loved every minute of it, though did become a tad concerned when he popped out of a broom patch not more than 20 feet in front of me!
