Love in the tree tops the violet mating of Eagles.

I am lucky to have a resident pair of eagles nesting on a small lake in St. Louis county Missouri. I have been observing them for the last four years as they mate and successfully raise their chicks.
On a few occasions I have captured the mating event which can seem violent and is displayed in a sequence here.
I had to crop the event more than a 100 percent but it is still reasonably sharp. My equipment on a tripod was a Canon R5 with a 100 to 500mm lens and a 1.4 teleconverter. I was shooting at 700 mm at F10 with a shutter speed of 1/3200 and an iso of around 1600.

Awesome photos and thanks for sharing your camera and settings. We have them in East Tennessee. Once saw an osprey chasing a bald eagle!
