The Sun and the Moon: Edited to add last photo
I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.

Sterling in silhouette
I held a lighting workshop recently. Sterling was the model. I rarely shoot silhouettes but I wanted to incorporate that arch into a shot. Backlighting became an obvious choice.

I've never seen a bald eagle prey on a cormorant. Did you actually see the kill? Interesting!
I’m not saying it did or did not, but even animals of “prey” are opportunistic feeders, scavenge or prey survival blurs all lines.
if you ever been up to Alaska, eagles are plenty...you will see them scavenge food out of trash...
Actually, I did not see the kill...I was driving that afternoon looking for something to take photos of...I seen these seagulls hovering and finally seen the eagle vending his prize...I stopped and just started shooting photos...the eagle...you can definitely tell he was getting agitated...if you go into my profile, I have a few more shots of him in there....I have soo many more photos from that day I want to edit and post....
