Hi guys,
I'm looking at those two lenses for wildlife photography (I'm currently using an old, 1980 lens, 300mm F4 ED AF.
For budget reasons I'm unable to get the G2 or the sports version.
What do you think? Do you guys have examples?
Thanks!

Got the Tamaron for Christmas and I love it. A couple more experienced photographers commented on how light it is. I use it with a Canon SL1. Below is a sample image (Hand held)
Would love to hear more about the comparison of the 2 lenses as I am also trying to make a choice between the 2 right now.
Using the Sigma contemporary. Soft at 600, but very nice at 500. Very pleased with it. I have not seen anything compare with it at the price. I thought this comparison review was pretty informative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_msTFAmwWY.
I have been using the Sigma 150-600'C' for over a year now. I shoot a lot of small birds (one of the toughest subjects in photography). I couldn't be more pleased. I shoot 95% handheld as small birds all suffer from ADHD it seems and do not stay still. The biggest selling point for the Sigma is the docking station. it allows you to program various custom settings combos, as well as updating firmware etc without having to send it back to the factory. Attached is a shot of a flying Kestrel (a small falcon) shot handheld. The second are some Monk Parakeets feeding. 'Nuf said!
