natural light through the eyes of a beginer

I started shooting portrait about 6 month ago.everything I know I learn myself from books,online videos and reading some of the articles from fstoppers.com
I only joined fstoppers recently and of course this is the first time i'm posting in here.if you have the time I will appreciate if you tell me your opinions and most of all what can I do to improve.On my profile i have a few more photos if you are interested to take a look.Thank you!

Hey Paul,

New to portrait photography too, I started shooting it about a month ago. Welcome to Fstoppers.

I like the first shot a lot, she has a very genuine expression, the lighting looks great and the retouching on the skin is subtle and looks good.

The second photo I like as a fashion editorial, she has a good expression too and comfortable pose. It may be on the dark side, underexposed.

The 3rd and 4th I personally don't like. I think the 3rd has her skin blown out with no details. The 4th looks a little flat but might look better if it was cropped in a bit to take the empty space from above her head.

Great work being new to the genre.
