Hello!
This is my first post. A rather straightforward one. I've been making a slow return to film photography and this is from my first test roll of TMAX 400 shot with a recently acquired Bronica SQ medium format camera with an 80mm lens. I've been enjoying how the whole process of making a photograph has slowed down for me. I've been thinking more before I shoot which I like. I think my images are getting better now. This one was just an outside shot, I metered handheld, and then took my time focusing and making sure everything was just right. I have no desire to really fix stuff in the computer later and it feels like I've been stepping up my game to produce a nice image in-camera. I hope you like it!
Just a few little things I can see....
The tonal variation is very low overall. Everything appears to be a neutral grey.
Having two backgrounds, of the wall and the trees, seems a little busy. Perhaps would have shot this with either but not both.
Her face appears a bit too dark to me. It should be the primary focus of the shot. Perhaps a reflector or small fill flash on her face. ??
Just my thoughts....for what they are worth.
I really like the models expression...looks a bit naughty, but not so much. :-)
