The main thing that stands out to me the most is her attire. Before photography I'm a computer consultant and I dress to impress daily. Her jacket doesn't fit properly from the shoulders to the bust. The collar from the blouse could have been displayed on the jacket but it's hard to tell. Lighting is fine in my opinion, but atmosphere could have made a difference in this photo as well as a smile
It may not have been under your control but I think the bright lipstick vs her porcelain skin doesn't scream "professional". The tones in the image overall are very subdued except for her bright red lips so that's what I'm drawn to more than anything else.
You probably don't want it to be too dramatic but perhaps lifting the light a little and trying to get some shadows under her cheeks and to round her face off done the sides will help give her shape.
1 more small critique would be that her glasses cut through her eyes, maybe getting lower would help but maybe not a big deal?
shaun ty sir.. i'm shooting the same theme on sat. so you suggest having makeup applied that compliments the models skin tones and raising my key light slightly?
Yeah I think for a "professional" shot I would have a much less obvious lipstick. Old fashioned and stupid but I think this lipstick looks more glamour/party rather than business/professional. I'm not sure what your lighting setup is currently but perhaps your key light is fine, maybe just a little bit less fill from below trying to get those shadows under the cheeks. I'll upload a quick/bad dodge and burn to highlight the shading I think you should try and achieve with your light setup if possible
shaun i completely see.. i'll def go a dif route on the lips for the next shoot. so my setup was a beauty dish over head with a reflector underneath.. like you guessed. even if this is a bad db, it still gives her face life! thanks for providing the example
Ok cool, perhaps the key light was a touch too bright? If you still can't get shadow under her cheek you could maybe move the reflector further away to darken it a touch. I don't think you would want to get rid of it completely though. Good luck!
Hi! I think that the composition and light is good. The only thing that I don't like is this red lipstick, it's a little bit too much. The expression is a little bit sad too. But I think it work (don't know the brief).

actually i agree with you 100% on the glasses through the eyes and feel it is a big deal, it was the first thing i noticed when looking at the photo.
