I'm newbie here and I'm amateur photographer.
Recently I bought a Nikon D5300 and I started to get some shots as experience with it.
All the lights are natural city lights.

It will take some time to notice things, but as starting point it is a good direction. You got quite sharp image in hard conditions, model's expression is nice and calm. What I miss on the photo is some basics of composition: pretty much centered face without any good reason, lot of unused space above his head, and bit distracting person walking in background (I guess this wasn't intended). Maybe different crop, or angle would add some more into the photo. Hope it helps improve abit! Cheers,
