Hello, my name is Ashlie. I'm a photography student at The Art Institute. I'm looking for some feedback and critiques on an image I did recently. Please Don't hold back. Thanks!!
Hey Ashlie! First of all, props to you for pursuing your dream! Secondly, the image. I like the emotion behind it, almost like she is cut off from part of the world. In my opinion, it is a bit bright, especially since you are trying to convey a sort of sad emotion. One more thing that may be worth experimenting is cropping it "wrong." Don't leave enough head room for her to look into, contrary to the "rules." Instead, have her look out of the frame and have some space behind her. This might put the viewer on edge and again convey that she is cut off.
Overall I really like the image and I think that the concept is excellent. Keep on shooting!
Tyler
P.S. Would you mind giving me some peer to peer feedback on my portfolio? Thanks in advance
Nice work, I only think that it is a little over exposed and the crop could be a little tighter but otherwise nice job!
